Key features of the new service pattern are as follows:

•  Standardisation of the time of the main morning service at 10.30 am
    – for both family services and communion services.

•  Standardisation of the Chedworth Family Service on the 3rd
    Sunday of each month.

•  Introduction of a Family Communion at Coln St. Denys on
alternate months on the 1st Sunday of the month.
This will be a
modern communion service suitable for all, but especially for people
with young children or with less experience of church.

•  Introduction of a Tea Time Service at Chedworth at 4 pm on the
    2nd Sunday of the month.
This will be an informal service
followed by tea and cakes. This will follow a specific theme or have
a guest speaker from time to time.

There will also be special services from time to time, and seasonal features at Christmas and Easter. Please do follow the services each month in the Hill & Valley News and posters around the villages. I warmly invite you to any of our services, old or new, and I hope that the church in the Hill & Valley Benefice will be all in for God over the forthcoming months.

Guest Preacher

Our guest preacher at Evensong at Coln St Denys on 19th September will be Rev’d David Randell, Rector of the Chenderit Benefice, Diocese of Peterborough. Please give him a warm welcome.

Family Picnic & Games

A family picnic with games will be held on the Vicarage lawn at lunchtime from 12.30 pm on Sunday 12th September. We will be joined by families from the Chenderit Benefice, Diocese of Peterborough (my old churches).
